Boarding
Boarding for My Training Clients
Boarding is available exclusively to existing clients.
I do not offer boarding to the general public, and there are no exceptions.
Whether you have completed Private Lessons, Board and Train, Day Training, or Hiking, you are welcome to use my boarding services as an extension of the relationship we have already built.
Because I already know your dog, their history, temperament, training, and needs, boarding is a much more personal experience than dropping your dog off at a traditional boarding facility.
Your dog is staying with someone who already knows them.
A More Personal Boarding Experience
Boarding is intentionally limited so I can provide a more personal and controlled environment for the dogs in my care.
Your dog will not be treated like a number in a large boarding facility.
I already know their routines, boundaries, personality, and training history. That familiarity makes boarding easier on both you and your dog.
My goal is to provide a safe, structured, comfortable place for your dog to stay while you are away.
Two Boarding Options
I offer two types of boarding depending on what you and your dog need.
Standard Boarding
Standard Boarding is for clients who simply need a safe place for their dog to stay while they are away.
Your dog’s normal routine will be maintained as much as possible, with appropriate structure, exercise, attention, and care throughout their stay.
Standard Boarding is a good option for vacations, business trips, weekends away, or any other time you need someone you trust to care for your dog.
Boarding With Supplemental Training
Want to make your dog’s stay productive?
Boarding with Supplemental Training adds training into your dog’s stay.
Instead of simply maintaining your dog’s routine, I can use their time with me to reinforce existing skills or work on specific areas of training.
Depending on your dog’s needs, supplemental training may include:
- Obedience
- Place
- Leash manners
- Recall
- Impulse control
- Engagement
- Household manners
- Boundaries
- Maintaining previously learned skills
- Addressing specific training goals
Supplemental training is customized to your dog.
This is not a full Board and Train program. It is an opportunity to continue working on your dog’s training while they are already staying with me.
Why Boarding Is Available Only to Clients
Dogs do not all respond to boarding the same way.
Being away from home, entering a new environment, and adapting to someone else’s routine can be stressful for some dogs.
By limiting boarding to existing clients, I already have an established relationship with your dog before they stay with me.
I know how your dog communicates. I know their behavior and training history. I know what they are comfortable with and what they struggle with.
That familiarity matters.
It also means I am not accepting an unknown dog simply because someone needs a place to board them.
Boarding is an extension of the training relationship, not a separate kennel service.
Your Dog Already Knows Me
One of the biggest benefits of boarding with me is familiarity.
Your dog has already spent time with me through their training or other services. They know who I am, and I know them.
That can make the transition into boarding much smoother.
Instead of introducing your dog to a completely unfamiliar boarding environment and unfamiliar staff, they are staying with someone they already know.
Keeping Structure While You’re Away
Your dog does not stop needing boundaries and structure just because you are on vacation.
I maintain appropriate expectations throughout their stay and reinforce the training your dog already knows.
For dogs receiving supplemental training, we can use the boarding stay as an opportunity to put additional work into specific skills.
For dogs in Standard Boarding, the focus is simply providing quality care while maintaining an appropriate routine.
Either way, your dog is cared for as an individual.
Who Can Board?
Boarding is available exclusively to existing clients who have completed at least one of my services.
This includes clients who have completed:
- Private Lessons
- Board and Train
- Day Training
- Hiking
- Other qualifying services
There are no exceptions to the client only boarding policy.
If you are interested in boarding but have not worked with me before, start with one of my training services. Once you become a client, boarding becomes an available service for your dog.
Need Training While Your Dog Boards?
If your dog needs more than just a place to stay, ask about Boarding With Supplemental Training.
This can be a convenient way to reinforce training while your dog is already in my care.
If your dog needs a more intensive training program, a full Board and Train may be more appropriate.
I can help determine which option makes the most sense based on your dog’s needs and goals.
